In a MOVE America exclusive, John Possumato, CEO and Co-founder of DriveItAway, shared news that Mitch Fadel, former CEO of Upbound Group and Rent-A-Center, has joined the company’s Board of Advisors.
DriveItAway Holdings, Inc is a Philadelphia-based mobility platform specializing in flexible vehicle lease-to-own solutions. Founded eight years ago, the company was created to bring new digital purchase and Mobility as a Service options to car dealers.
Fadel, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished executives in the lease-to-own sector, brings decades of leadership experience in expanding access to alternative credit and consumer financing.
Fadel is best known for his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Upbound Group (formerly Rent-A-Center), where he oversaw international expansion, strategic acquisitions totalling more than $2 billion, and the creation of the world’s largest virtual lease-to-own enterprise.
This appointment follows DriveItAway’s recently announced national partnership with Free2move, Stellantis’ global mobility brand.
