Baxi has taken the first delivery of its first batch of all-electric Vauxhall Vivaro vans. This supports the company’s plans to electrify its 280-strong LCV fleet.

The fleet is made up of 10 Vivaro Electric vans and have been delivered in a tie-up involving Vauxhall dealer Greenhous and Novuna Vehicle Solutions. They will be used to service and maintain heating and hot water products for Baxi’s customers across the UK.

The vans have a range of up to 205 miles and a payload of up to 10002kg, including reacking installed by Sortimo and feature livery supplied by Corby Graphix.

Novuna Vehicle Solutions has delivered initial driver training in conjunction with Greenhous which hopes to educate Baxi employees on the features and benefits of the Vivaro electric vans. It will also provide vehicle maintenance services as well as ongoing dedicated in-life account management support.

The new fleet will be part of the company’s ambition to decarbonise its entire fleet and be carbon-neutral across all of its business operations by 2030.

Louise Murton, customer service director at Baxi, commented: “This delivery is an exciting milestone on our transformation towards a fully electric fleet and is fundamental to working towards our sustainability targets. We’re working closely with Novuna and Greenhous to ensure drivers are fully trained to maximise the success of our EV rollout and demonstrate to customers that we’re committed to a zero-carbon future.”
