At MOVE 2023 Norman Palmhof managing consultant at Valtech Mobility talked about all-things connected mobility and the company’s experience at the event.
Valtech Mobility specialise in designing, developing and managing digital platform services and products to help enable customers and partners to create value streams and monetise data from connected vehicles.
Palmhof commented on Valtech’s recent partnership with Parkopedia and how the two companies are joining forces to provide end-to-end services for carmakers. The services that are made possible through the collaboration include integrated solutions for parking, fuelling, tolling, and charging in connected vehicles.

Can AI help to accelerate the future of autonomous vehicles? dRISK think so!
At MOVE 2023 Rav Babbra, COO at dRISK, talked about how his company is collecting AI data from all over the world and making simulated scenarios in order to de-risk autonomous vehicle (AV) systems.
Babbra also said that the recent Euro NCAP and GSR requirements are now being collated into the company’s scenarios and can be included in client purchases.

At MOVE 2023 Henri Moissinac, the co-founder and CEO of Dott, talked about the fifteen-minute city and how micro-mobility can help make this goal to become a reality in cities all over the world.
With a mandate to encourage the fifteen-minute city, Moissinac recently contributed to the Micro-mobility Industry Best Practice Report and commented on the purpose of the report and its key findings in and around micro-mobility.
Moissinac also discussed his predictions for the future of micro-mobility and whether he thinks the trend will continue to climb. With more and more micro-modes of transport being embraced in cities all around the world, publicly and privately, Moissinac commented on how he thinks this will impact ownership of personal cars.

Around 20 years ago, Rod King MBE campaigned in his local town for a 20 mph speed limit on roads where pedestrians mix with motorists. Fast forward to today and King’s organisation, 20s Plenty for Us, now boasts 600 local campaigns across the entire of the UK.
King talked about his campaign with MOVEMNT at MOVE 2023 and commented on his keynote talk “20’s plenty: maximising the potential of the spaces between buildings that we call streets”.
King asked how cities and towns can sweat the assets of what we call ‘streets’ in order to meet the needs and aspirations of we have right now in the third decade of the 21st century. He endeavours to promote the 20s Plenty Campaign in order to “make your place a better place to be”.

“Woman only represent 20% of the workforce in transport and that is a number that needs to change urgently,” said Sandra Witzel, co-founder of Women in Mobility UK, at MOVE 2023. The organisation was founded three years ago and serves as a networking group for women in the mobility industry.
The group offers its members opportunities to network, connect, and grow with other members. Witzel added that the group organised a meet-up at MOVE 2023 in order to being women in mobility together in-person.
The co-founder also commented on SkedGo, a MaaS technology solutions provider for which Witzel is the CMO.

Angela Strand, chairwoman of SEA Electric, discussed her opinions on how the Inflation Reduction act will support the clean energy transition in the US at MOVE 2023.
The Inflation Reduction Act aims to promote the clean energy transition in the hopes to curb inflation and was put into federal law last year. Whilst the act will promote the electrification of vehicles in the USA, it also comes with its own controversies surrounding green subsidies.
Strand participated in the keynote talk which touches upon these issues, called “How can we make green subsidies operable and politically acceptable?”, from which Strand told us her main takeaways from the discussion.
Strand also commented on her MOVE experience as well as her own personal MOVE pledge in which she disclosed how she intends to reduce her air miles.

Steve Schwinke, VP of customer engagement at Sibros, praised MOVE as the “premier event when it comes to sustainability and mobility”. With multiple appearances on panels, roundtables, and talks at MOVE 2O23, Schwinke gave some insight into what topics he’s dying to discuss.
Schwinke also provided some insight into how Sibros is helping to lay the foundations for the software-defined vehicle and are providing a deep connectivity service to its customers. The technology that Schwinke refers to includes Sibros’ Deep Connected Platform.
This program was developed by automotive industry experts and designed with the latest safety, cybersecurity, data privacy and software development standards in mind, to help costumers provide the best connectivity service possible.
Providing services as an “enabling technology”, Schwinke also talks about how Sibros provide solutions for innovation in connected vehicles, endeavouring to accelerate the journey towards the software-defined vehicle.

On the expo floor at MOVE 2023, we caught up with Jawad Khursheed, CEO of HVS. The hydrogen technology distributor showcased their latest HGV on the expo floor, being entirely unmissable on the front door of the keynote theatre.
HVS is a systems integration company that brings together existing systems, parts and technologies to design, develop, manufacture, market and sell advanced zero-emission commercial vehicles.

At the ExCeL last month, we spoke to Ardo Reinsalu, the director of vehicles at Bolt about all-things micro-mobility.
On day one of MOVE 2023 , Bolt announced the release of their latest in-house e-scooter, Bolt 6. In this interview, Reinsalu told us what makes this next-gen model better and more efficient than its previous versions. In addition, Bolt told us what their MOVE pledge was as a company for the upcoming year.

Calling BlackBerry QNX the “plumbers of the software-defined vehicle (SDV)”, Wall told us how the company are laying the unseen foundation for the software that carmakers will be building on top of.
