Chinese carmaker XPENG has unveiled a low-priced all-electric vehicle (EV) which incorporates an AI-powered self-driving system.

The new cheaper model, named the Mona M03 saloon, is based on an unfinished car project that ride-hailing service provider Didi sold to Xpeng last year.

XPENG has reportedly received 10,000 orders in the first 52 minutes of the car being available.

The automaker’s CEO said at the model’s launch event that it was “the only car with advanced autonomous driving” selling for less than 200,000 Chinese Yuan, according to FT.
