Cadillac has been one of the oldest automotive manufacturers in America and has continuously produced classic vehicles since its beginnings. However, its brand-new model is now more future focused.

The company has just unveiled the CELESTIQ, a fully electric sedan, and is the first Cadillac to be hand-built since the 1957 Eldorado Brougham. The vehicle has a starting price of around $300,000. Like its competitors, Rolls Royce, every CELESTIQ will be configured and customised to the specifications of each buyer.

“CELESTIQ clients will be connected to a personal concierge, somebody who will be their single point of contact through the entire design development process,” says Erin Crossley, Cadillac’s design director of interiors.  “Every client will also have the ability to connect directly with someone from the Cadillac design team to walk them through—as in-depth as they want to go.”

Being able to have a designer as a liaison and a concierge will be game-changing as the options to be fully customised are almost infinite.

“We like to say that really anything can be customized—as long as it’s not an impact to safety,” Crossley says.

This will include aspects of interior and exterior design, and even the large decorative trim piece that runs along the center of the interior.

Customers will be introduced to a wide range of materials such as metals, wood, and carbon fibers they will be

able to use within their customisation, but if they have another material in mind, these can also be incorporated.

The design will fit perfectly to the customers’ needs.

Each CELESTIQ will be hand built in a facility at the landmark General Motors Technical Center. Clients are invited to meet here with Cadillac designers to be shown around the grounds while the process of designing
