In our increasingly digital world, connectivity services are reshaping the ways we communicate with one another and respond to our environment.

At MOVE America 2025, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Alex Walling, Head of Business Development at Nokia, to discuss the unexpected ways connectivity services are transforming the mobility landscape.

Alex provided insight into the exciting potential of APIs before discussing how Nokia is opening up new functionality from 5G networks to OEMs to reshape the in-car experience.

After exploring Nokia’s exciting partnerships with Elmo and Seafar, we dove into some of the big themes dominating conversations in the industry, such as AI and autonomy.

We ended our debate, somewhat existentially, contemplating the impact of autonomy on the in-car experience:

If we are no longer driving our own cars, how does our relationship with them change? And what role will connectivity services play in shaping the vehicles of the future?
