Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled a three-row, all-electric SUV with a promised range of up to 620 kilometres. The South Korean automaker revealed the new seven-seater electric vehicle (EV), dubbed the IONIQ 9, at the LA Auto Show. The EV boasts a swivelling bi-directional second-row, an estimated all-electric range of 620 km and a targeted energy consumption of 194 Wh/km.
“IONIQ 9 embodies Hyundai Motor’s unwavering commitment and confidence in electrification. Based on Hyundai Motor Group’s acclaimed Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), IONIQ 9 offers outstanding interior space, providing customers with unique value while solidifying our leadership in the global EV market,” said Jaehoon Chang, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.
Hyundai has emphasised that the new model plays a key role in the company’s plan to launch 23 new EVs by 2030.  
  The IONIQ 9 is estimated to go on sale in Korea and the U.S. in the first half of 2025, with subsequent rollout planned for Europe and other markets later.
