Technologies and solutions for fleet operators will be the focus of Bosch’s participation at the MOVE event in London next month. MOVE is a tech mobility event that brings together the people and companies that are redefining mobility.
Bosch has developed a variety of technologies that will benefit mobility and logistics operators and Bosch experts from the UK and Germany will be on hand at MOVE to present solutions in keynotes and panels, and to discuss one-to-one how these can be integrated into businesses of all sizes.
Mobility is undergoing a significant transformation towards electric powertrains and vehicles that feature more software than ever before. Bosch sees the future of mobility as being defined by software, orientated towards services, and centered on the user.
When it comes to fleets, the challenge is to maximise the operational readiness of a fleet and minimise the loss of vehicle value. With customised software and service solutions, whether in electric of combustion-engined vehicles, Bosch is the ideal partner to address this challenge.
Bosch has developed state-of-the-art cloud and data analysis that enhances the management of fleets. This uses real-time data and smart algorithms to optimise route planning, vehicle maintenance, and to minimise downtime.
Monitoring the condition of a vehicle and its use is also central to reducing costs. For example, Bosch has developed battery in the cloud – a smart connected solution for improved battery management. With its set of services that are available as modules, battery in the cloud not only enhances battery performance and lifetime, it also reduces the risk of sudden breakdowns and plays a part in increasing transparency with regard to the condition of the battery. The early identification of wear and tear gives operators a head start on planning for vehicle downtime.
In addition to its booth at the show, Bosch will also participate in panel discussions on the Fleet & Commercial Vehicle Stage.
Unlocking fleet potential with smart and connected solutions will be the subject of a keynote speech that will be presented at 10:50 on June 20th by three Bosch associates: Claudia Barthle, a Senior Vice President at Robert Bosch GmbH, Sven Herschel, Vice President of RideCare Services, and Christoph Kern, Senior Vice President of Connected Services.
Kai von Luebtow, Sales and Acquisition Manager for Connected Services in Power Solutions, will discuss telematics at 12:05 on June 20th. And a panel that will discuss the future of fleet management will be moderated by Christiane Soppa, Director Mobility and Logistic Service Provider at Bosch, and taking part in the discussion will be Sven Herschel. That’s also on June 20th, beginning at 12:55.
