E-scooter and e-bike operator Lime has partnered with Bikeworks to design and deliver free Lime e-scooter training sessions for those who are aged 18 and above. The riders must also be able to show a provisional or full driver’s license.

These sessions will aim to target those who have never written an e-scooter before and want to brush up on skills or just build your confidence before taking to the road.

All sessions are free to attend, and will last up to 2 hours, delivered by Bikeworks’ Bikeability trained instructors. Each session has up to 10 spaces.

Each participant will receive a free Lime helmet to wear (and keep) during the training session, and free ride codes so you can continue to #RideGreen. Lime recommends that you wear a
helmet whilst riding e-scooters.

The training will be composed of two levels. Level 1 training sessions will be for complete beginners, or those who feel they need to build confidence on an e-scooter. These sessions are ‘off-road’ and will equip the participant with the knowledge to develop their control skills on an e-scooter before hitting the road. These sessions may not include on-road riding and are 2 hours long.

Level 2 on-road sessions are designed for confident e-scooter users, and those who have mastered the skills in the previous Level 1 training session. The session will include a brief skills assessment before hitting the road, teaching you how to ride confidently and safely.
