Wayve and Stellantis chose MOVE 2026 as the exclusive platform to announce the next phase of their strategic partnership.  

Alex Kendall, CEO of Wayve, and Ned Curic, Chief Engineering Officer and CTO at Stellantis, took to the Keynote Stage to announce their shared vision for Level 4 autonomy, presenting a strengthened partnership committed to delivering robotaxis on a global scale. 

Stellantis’ vehicle L4-Ready Platforms™ will combine with Wayve’s advanced AI Driver, in a bid to accelerate the global rollout of robotaxi services. To facilitate this partnership, both companies have chosen ride-hail platform heavy weight Uber to host their driverless services. 

This partnership will leverage Uber’s global mobility network to scale robotaxis at scale, allowing riders to book an autonomous ride on the well-loved Uber app.  

This collaboration builds on the existing agreement, announced last month, to deliver Level 2++ autonomy or advanced driverless assistance technology across a number of Stellantis badges. 

“This collaboration brings us closer to delivering a smarter, safer and more efficient mobility for our customers,” said Ned Curic on the MOVE mainstage.

“By combining our L4-Ready Platforms™, designed from the ground up for safe and efficient driverless operation, with Wayve’s adaptive AI and Uber’s global network, we are accelerating the deployment of autonomous vehicles that meet real customer needs and enable seamless mobility at scale in everyday life.” 

In an official press release, Wayve’s VP of Commercial Operations Kaity Fisher spoke on the importance of this strategic collaboration:

“This is just another strong signal that the industry is converging around Wayve’s technology as the way to scale AVs globally, and we’re excited to continue working with Stellantis and Uber to accelerate the promise of autonomy.” 

Curic and Kendall elaborated on their strengthened partnership on the main stage of MOVE 2026 in a conversation moderated by host of EV News Daily Martyn Lee. This Level 4 agreement demonstrated the increasing emergence of strategic partnerships as the main driver of scaling autonomous operations.
